Welcome to Year 2!
Last month was a very busy month for Y2! We took part in our special SATs learning and we all tried our very best so WELL DONE TO EVERY ONE OF YOU!
We have worked hard in Maths, English and Curriculum. Take a look at some of our lovely learning below!
What a busy April! 2CC have done some fabulous work so far this term.
We started the term writing some fantastic spooky setting descriptions! You can see some great but scary examples below! In maths we have been completing arithmetic questions, solving tricky reasoning problems and exploring capacity.
We were also lucky enough to have an entire day learning about our new topic – Kings and Queens. We kick-started the day with a challenge! Miss Crouch told us we had to write a letter to someone royal but we had to find some clues first. We had to learn how to use a compass and then use that knowledge to help us follow some tricky directions. We were super at following the directions and quickly found out that we were writing a letter to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to congratulate them on their expected baby. We also made some gorgeous crowns, designed and made clay shields and enjoyed a royal banquette at lunch time.
Miss Crouch is very proud of all your hard work this month! Keep up the hard work 2CC.
