The School Day
Children have a total of 32.5 hours of school per week. School doors open at 8:35am-8:50am. Registration opens at 8:45am and the school day ends at 3:15pm
We run a Breakfast Club between the hours of 8.00am and 8.35am. The Breakfast Club offers a range of breakfast foods to ensure that children get a nutritious start to the day. We provide every child attending with a free piece of toast and a drink and there are opportunities to sample other hot breakfast treats at a small cost.
The school doors open from 8:35am for children to come into school independently and begin their morning activities. There is always an adult on the doors in the morning to meet and greet the children. The doors close at 8:50am and the register is taken then.
Children spend the morning sessions participating in their curriculum learning, with a morning break in between from 10:30am to 10:45am.
Lunch begins for our EYFS at 11:30am and from this time onwards, year groups go to the school dining hall for their dinner and play, with the final class eating at 12:30pm. Children have a 45 minutes lunchbreak in KS2 and 1 hour in KS1.
The children continue to undertake lessons for the remainder of the day, with playtimes taken as and when needed. There are no scheduled afternoon playtimes across the school.
The school day finishes for KS1 and KS2 at 3:15pm . Parents collect from the year group/classroom doors with teachers handing children to a familiar adult.
There are a number of exciting afterschool activities taking place throughout the week. These finish at 4pm.
