Year 1 have been learning about the different emotions that they sometimes feel. They also used their speaking and listening skills to discuss when they feel these emotions and how they might represent them through drawings.
The 3 classes then moved on to talking about their families and all of the people who are important to them. Again they continued to develop their speaking and listening skills and discussed why they think family and community are important.
Year 3 have also been learning about a range of religious birth ceremonies including a Christian baptism. They now know the process of a christian baptism and some of the items used. You can see that our children used their writing skills to show their knowledge.
As a whole school we learnt about Remeberance Day. Each year group created a different piece of learning and we made a whole school display. Each class was able to talk about their learning and the children were very proud when they saw that their learning had been chosen for our central display. You could see learning from nursery right up to year 6. We also had a special Remeberance Day assembly and had our own 2 minute silence.
